Who builds My Woo Stores

My Woo Stores is built and run by one independent developer. There is no company behind it, no investors, and no team — the same person writes the code, answers the support email, and decides what ships.

You are being asked to connect API credentials for a store that takes real money, so you deserve to know what you are dealing with. This page is that answer: who runs it, how it is funded, and exactly what happens to your credentials.

Why does this app exist?

WooCommerce runs a very large share of the web’s online stores, and almost all of it is administered from a desktop browser. That is fine when you are at a desk. It is far less fine when an order comes in while you are on a bus, when a customer messages you about stock you cannot check, or when you are running more than one store and every check means another WordPress login in another tab.

My Woo Stores exists to make the routine half of running a store — look at today’s revenue, move an order to completed, fix a price, add a product — something you can finish in under a minute on a phone. It is not trying to replace the WooCommerce admin. It is trying to make the trip to the WooCommerce admin unnecessary most days.

Why should you trust it with your store credentials?

This is the question that matters most, and the honest answer is that trust should come from how the app is built rather than from anything written on a marketing page. So here is how it is built.

Your WooCommerce API keys are stored in your device’s secure keychain — the iOS Keychain or the Android Keystore — not in a database somewhere. The app talks to your store directly over HTTPS using the WooCommerce REST API. Your WordPress admin password is never asked for and never stored. Connection metadata needed to deliver push notifications is transmitted and held in encrypted form; the privacy policy names every third-party service involved and what each one receives, rather than hiding behind “we may share data with partners”.

The same instinct shows up in smaller decisions. Website analytics are self-hosted and cookie-free, and the analytics script is configured never to send query strings — because the WordPress application-password callback receives credentials as query parameters, and those must not leave the browser. That is the sort of detail nobody would ever notice if it were done wrong.

What is it built with?

The app is React Native and Expo, shipped natively to the App Store and Google Play rather than wrapped in a browser. Recent data is cached locally, so orders, products and analytics stay readable when the connection drops — writes need to be online, reads mostly do not.

The interface, and the AI features, work in six languages: English, Serbian, German, French, Italian and Hindi. Localisation is not an afterthought here — the AI writes product copy in whichever of those you have selected, rather than translating English output, which is the difference between copy a customer reads and copy a customer notices.

Is My Woo Stores affiliated with WooCommerce or Automattic?

No. My Woo Stores is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WooCommerce, Automattic, or WordPress. It connects to your store through the public WooCommerce REST API, exactly like any other integration you might authorise from your store’s settings — and you can revoke that access from WordPress at any time without going through this app at all.

How is it funded?

Directly by the people who use it. The free tier is supported by ads; the paid tiers remove them and add AI-assisted product writing. There is no data brokerage in the business model and no plan to introduce one — your store’s sales figures are yours, and selling them would end the only thing this product has going for it.

How do you get in touch?

Email [email protected]. It reaches the developer who wrote the code, which is both the good news and the limitation — replies are not instant, but they are also not a script. Bug reports that include your device, your app version and what you were doing get fixed fastest.

Try it on your own store

Connect a store, look at your real numbers, and decide from there. The free tier is the whole product.
